UK edition of Hello!: Montenegro is a dream escape

The May edition of Hello!, one of Britain's most popular celebrity magazines, includes an article on Montenegro as a dream destination.

“What Montenegro lacks in size, it makes up for in centuries-old architecture, crystal-clear water and breathtaking scenery”, says the article’s introductory paragraph.

The magazine gives recommendations on the sites to explore, places to stay and restaurants to eat in Montenegro.

“Set on a peninsula in the Adriatic Sea, Aman Sveti Stefan is charming and so cool. Pine-shaded walkways snake their way about the place, connecting a jumble of terracotta-roofed cottages and suites. Along with vast stone terraces perfect for sundowners and three smart swimming pools, there’s a private stretch of pink-pebbled beach with loungers and faultless service,” the article says.

For those who want to indulge in food, Hello! has picked several restaurants offering traditional Montenegrin dishes.

“Tucked away on one of Kotor’s lanes, O’Clock Coffee is a go-to for iced lattes and biscuits fresh from the oven. Just outside Budva’s fortress walks, Demižana’s vine-entangled pergola provides shade for rustic launches featuring squid-studded black risotto and fish stew,” the article notes, adding that Arva restaurant offers the best Montenegrin dishes.

The magazine also recommends a number of sites to be explored when in Montenegro.

“Peppered with pretty medieval towns, Montenegro’s Adriatic coast also offers natural wonders in abundance. The fortified town of Kotor – a UNESCO World Heritage Site – is mesmerising, and Budva’s cobbled alleys are worth a wander, too. Hop aboard Aman Sveti Stefan’s sleek little boat to see the glory from a different angle”, the article concludes.
