Culture Trip names Montenegro among best sustainable travel destinations for 2021

The popular British travel magazine Culture Trip has ranked Montenegro among the best sustainable travel destinations for 2021. Once again, Montenegro was featured next to world-famous and exotic destinations such as the Maldives, Japan, Thailand and others.

Although it will take some time for the world to return to normal, Culture Trip believes that sustainable and environmentally conscious destinations should be the way to go.

“Travel has taken a back seat in 2020. Yet, we are happy that there’s a growing trend to include such places in destination bucket lists.”

As the author puts it, the ‘Nature & Me’ campaign has put Montenegro back on the travel radar.

“The campaign encourages travellers to take a break from the stuck-at-home virtual world we’ve been forced to endure for the majority of 2020, and discover areas of natural beauty in Montenegro. No matter where you travel in 2021, an off-the-grid escape with outdoor activities and farm-to-table food will likely be top of the hit list. And Montenegro is the place to find exactly that,” the article says.

For all those who are already planning to visit Montenegro in 2021, the article has provided extra content – the ultimate guide to backpacking in Montenegro.

The popular British magazine boasts more than 15 million readers worldwide. This article is yet another result of the efforts of the National Tourism Organisation of Montenegro at London’s World Travel Market in November 2020.
