Austrian media: Montenegro – the best of the Balkans

The Austrian luxury travel magazine Connoisseur Circle has published a positive article about Montenegro entitled “Montenegro – the best of the Balkans”.

In a four-page article of this prestigious magazine, journalist Jörg Bertram, who visited Montenegro in April as part of a study tour organised by the National Tourism Organisation of Montenegro, invites readers to come to Montenegro on holiday, emphasising the diversity of offer and luxury hotels.

“High mountains, deep gorges, beautiful bathing coves and picture-book villages: Montenegro invites you to an unforgettable road trip in a very small area. It’s no wonder that the country with the southernmost fjord in Europe has long been attracting active vacationers as well as luxury travellers,” Bertram writes.

While staying in Montenegro, Bertram visited hotels in the continental part of Montenegro, continuing to the north and south of the country. He had the opportunity to get acquainted with the offerings of Hilton Hotel in Podgorica, SOA in Žabljak and Bianca Resort & Spa in Kolašin. On the Montenegrin coastline, he visited Regent Porto Montenegro, the Chedi Luštica Bay, Ananti Resort, Aman Sveti Stefan and the newly opened One & Only luxury resort.

With 4 issues per year, the Connoisseur Circle magazine is intended for readers from German-speaking countries who prefer luxury travel. The popularity of this Austrian magazine is also reflected in the number of readers, which reaches 300,000.

The increasing interest in Montenegro as a travel destination among Austrians is evidenced by a recent article published by the largest Austrian media Kurier.at, which recommended an eight-day visit to our country, highlighting the beauties of Boka Kotorska, sandy beaches, monasteries and the Mediterranean climate. Also, Der Standard recommended a train journey to Montenegro. In addition, other reputable media from Germany, Austria and Switzerland, including the Badische Zeitung, reisetopia.de and Saarbrücker Zeitung, last week wrote about Montenegro as an attractive tourist destination.

Austria recently removed restrictions on travel to Montenegro, which was published in all Austrian media, including in Kleine Zeitung, the country’s largest regional newspaper.
