Winter Kotor Carnival Festivities

The carnival opens on February 6 at Arms Square with an official ceremony featuring the “Fešta” majorettes, the Kotor City Band, and the raising of the carnival flag. The program continues with a rich lineup for children, including costume balls in Škaljari and at the Kamelija Shopping Center, while the Grand Masquerade Ball returns to the Maximus Nightclub on February 7.

In the days that follow, you can enjoy creative mask-making workshops, the celebration of 50 years of the Prčanj Carnival, the traditional Carnival Gnocchi Night, and the marking of 100 years of the satirical newspaper Karampana. The program also includes the Škaljari Dinner and a school masquerade ball.

The final weekend brings the Grand Masquerade Ball at the Hyatt Regency Kotor Bay Resort in Prčanj, with live performances by Kira Band and Nenad Knežević Knez, followed by the Love Raffle. The festivities conclude on Sunday, February 15, with a grand carnival parade, the trial and burning of the Carnival figure, and a live music program.
