The festivities begin with a cheerful children’s program featuring performances by little ones from local kindergartens, “Vini Pu,” “Moj Svijet,” “Ljubica Jovanović – Maše,” and “Diznilend,” along with students from “Mirko Srzentić” Elementary School and the children’s choir of the Budva Music School.
At 5 PM, don’t miss the colorful parade led by the Budva City Music Band and members of the NGO “Feštađuni,” marching from the old bus station to the main stage near the Old Town. Once the parade arrives, Tiho Fabris, president of the KSR “Širun” fishing club, will warmly address the crowd and officially open the 58th Dan Širuna
The day continues with performances by the women’s vocal group “Harmonija,” soloists from the Budva Music School, Lara Pavićević, and the lively group “Budva in the Rhythm of Europe,” followed by the Budva City Choir and local musician Ivo Benić, who will also perform an original song dedicated to Budva.
Of course, no Dan Širuna is complete without the traditional tasting of freshly prepared širun (blue fish), courtesy of the KSR “Širun” team—served with local wine or beer for everyone to enjoy!
Starting at 7 PM, the ever-popular sports games take over: the prosciutto pull from the beam in the city marina and the classic tug-of-war in front of the stage. Always full of laughter and loud cheering, these games bring a special energy to the celebration.
The evening program wraps up with a performance by the “Magdias” choir, made up of teachers from the “Second Elementary School,” followed by a concert from Monika Knezović and the renowned vocal group “Jedinstvo” from Bar, known for preserving Montenegro’s rich musical heritage.
