Kostanjica, the area where the campsite is situated, is known for its maritime and fishing tradition, and the local climate fosters rich vegetation. The campsite lies within a green oasis of chestnut trees, after which the area is named, while the surrounding laurel forests further enhance the natural beauty. The bay leads out to the Morinj River, whose underground springs keep the water crystal clear.
