Lonely Planet on Montenegro: a bucket list travel destination

Lonely Planet, the world’s leading travel guide, has published an interesting article that also features Montenegro.

Author Gemma Graham wonders what travel bucket lists would look like if money was no problem, leading her to compile a list of six dreamy destinations.

If you indulge your imagination, there are places where your every whim will be catered to. According to Lonely Planet, one of such places is located in Montenegro, particularly in the Bay of Kotor, and is called the Chedi Luštica Bay.

“While nearby Croatia has long has its ties to the billionaire set, it's only more recently that the super-rich have turned their eyes and wallets towards Montenegro. The Chedi Luštica is just two years old, set amidst a larger resort complex that includes five star vacation rental condominiums, two marinas, an assortment of private residences and, soon, Montenegro's first 18-hole championship golf course. But the real draw is its private beaches on Trašte Bay off the Adriatic and proximity to the UNESCO-protected Old Town of Kotor”, the article says.

The author recommends a sound-proofed penthouse suite, which costs about $2,021 a night.

Featuring alongside Montenegro and the Chedi Hotel are the exclusive Necker Island on the British Virgin Islands, Burj Al Arab hotel in Dubai, Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, Royal Malewane Safari Lodge in South Africa, yachting in the Mediterranean and heli-ski in Greenland.
