"Last month, we welcomed passengers from the inaugural Jet2.com flight from London, and today we are pleased to greet the first passengers from Birmingham. Introducing new routes to Montenegro by Jet2 is of tremendous importance, considering it is the largest British tour operator and one of the leading British airlines. This company operates flights from 11 British cities, representing a market of 51 million people," stated Ana Tripkovic Markovic Director of the National Tourism Organisation of Montenegro.
"In anticipation of the launch of this flight route, the NTO, in collaboration with this tour operator, carried out an extensive marketing campaign in the UK last year. For the first time, we participated in the annual event 'A Night with the Stars' in Birmingham, which brought together over a thousand travel agents who sell arrangements directly through Jet2's Call Center. This event was an opportunity to acquaint them more closely with what Montenegro has to offer," she added.
NTO's intense promotional activities targeting the UK market, including campaigns on TV and online channels of the BBC, collaboration with Expedia, partnership with prestigious British media, and participation in major fairs and business workshops, contributed to the creation of new flight routes, according to Tripković Marković.
Montenegro's Tivat will soon have a new flight route to Bristol, UK, operated by easyJet starting in June, according to Vladan Drašković, Acting Executive Director of Airports of Montenegro. The move is part of a coordinated effort to increase air accessibility to #Montenegro.
