Montenegro tops the list of CN Traveller’s top destinations for 2021

Luxury travel magazine Condé Nast Traveller has included Montenegro in the list of Europe’s top 18 holiday destinations for 2021, with Montenegro taking the first place.

Asked to name the first trip they’ll be booking for 2021, the editors of Condé Nast Traveller revealed where they plan to rest and relax after the highly turbulent 2020.

Sophie Knight, Digital Picture Editor at Condé Nast Traveller, has chosen Montenegro for her first trip, as she has been hoping to visit the country for a while now.

“I’m longing to swim in the vast pristine lakes, hike the rugged mountains and wander the ancient narrow streets of Kotor and Budva. We’ll be renting a car and exploring the country's wild side – one place I’m particularly excited about visiting is Durmitor National Park, known for its 48 peaks, glacial lakes and remote trails through alpine forests. To end the holiday I plan on spending a few nights on Sveti Stefan, a small island that’s home to the five-star Aman Sveti Stefan Resort. With its private beach lined with parasols and a pool overlooking the Balkan coast, 2020 will all be forgotten about,” says Sophie.

Condé Nast Traveller is one of the magazines issued by Condé Nast, which publishes a number of leading publications, including Vogue, Vanity Fair, Reddit, Brides, Glamour, Golf Digest and many others.

Featuring on the list alongside Montenegro are Portugal, Italy, Norway, Spain, Greece, France and Croatia.
