On Thursday December 8, Peace Boat welcomed nearly 4,500 visitors to its Open Ship event in Yokohama. The Global Festival of Peace and Tourism was held as part of this activity, giving visitors the opportunity to learn more about some countries that will be visited on upcoming voyages.
Various Embassies in Japan - including Argentina, Indonesia, Madagascar, Maldives, Montenegro, Mozambique, Palau, Philippines, Samoa and Timor-Leste - held booths at the festival, giving visitors a taste of their country's cultures, heritage and attractions.
Promotion of Montenegro at the festival is the result of successful cooperation between the National Tourism Organisation of Montenegro, Office of the Honorary Consul in Japan and the company "Plantaže - 13 Jul" which is enabled to the participants to enjoy in the tastes of Montenegrin wine.
"Peace Boat" was formed by a non-governmental organization based in Japan to raise awareness among the people and promote human rights, environmental protection and sustainable development.
On his way, starting from the home port of Yokohama, this ship will sail into Kotor port on 17th September 2017.
