In the north...

In the north, every town is a special story: Bijelo Polje, Berane, Kolašin, Rožaje, Mojkovac, Andrijevica, Plav, Šavnik ...

What they all have in common is the corso – main street with cobblestone in town, lined with bars one next to another. In the morning, at noon and until the small hours there is town gossip among the walking people, buddhistically oriented towards tomorrow. There will be a time for everything, one needs to live. With a cup of coffee or a glass of brandy, with friends, small talk, there are signs of first love on main street as well as shy or angry looks, and everything gets alive on market days when the village people come. The pub atmosphere develops in the evening hours, with traditional but also trendy sounds. Entertainment in the mountainous part of Montenegro is mainly connected with the ski resorts accompanied by traditional cuisine and cafés. As far as nightlife is concerned, Pljevlja can be pointed out, whose citizens are known for their drinking habits. The spirit of Pljevlja is transferred to all of Montenegro through the widely known traditional music played by the living legends – "Pljevaljski tamburaši“. They are cult in every tavern in Montenegro. Žabljak and Kolašin do not lag behind Pljevlja and are famous for their great New Years Eves. Fireworks above the snowy summits of both towns, crazy nightlife in „City“, with folk music or in more urban „Čudesna šuma“ at Žabljaku, as well as exclusive evenings in the hotel „Bianca Resort & Spa“ for the upper classes, these are events that one talks about all year.
