Within the tourist action “We are choosing the most successful ones in tourism of Southeast Europe 2012” Herceg Novi was declared the best tourist place.

Two-year-announcements that were a hot-topic almost every year before the summer season have finally come true.  The most famous European low cost air company Ryanair from Ireland will introduce a direct flight from Podgorica to Brussels latest by the 20^th June.

With the increasing number of yachts and cruisers it can be said that nautical season in the port of Kotor is slowly but surely heating up. Today four passenger boats sailed into the port of Kotor with several thousands of passengers. Cruiser Princedam sailed in dawn into the port of Kotor and then cruisers MSC “Armonia”, “Grand Celebration” and “Harmony” sailed in.

A tourist site “Virtual Tourist” included the road from Kotor to Sveti Stefan on the list of 10 most attractive rides in competition with California, Thailand and other famous tourist destinations. Montenegro, that is, its famous part of the coast takes the 10^th place on the list – the daily “Vijesti” reports.

In a special section of the Argentine daily “Clarin” on tourism, which is published on Sundays, reportage about Montenegro and its tourist attractions was published under the title “Charms of Eastern Europe”.

Uniting the mountain regions of the countries of Kosovo, Montenegro and Albania in a sustainable tourism destination development model, the multi-stakeholder process spearheaded by the Peaks of the Balkans Steering Committee has led to the successful creation of a new 192km Peaks of the Balkan (PoB) hiking trail.

The WTTC Tourism for Tomorrow Award is a celebration of peace and transformation for 5.4 million people of Albania, Kosovo and Montenegro.

The RCI Regional Tourism Event will take place on 14th (evening) & 15th May 2013 at Plantaze/Sipcanik just outside Podgorica, Montenegro.

On 22 March the largest ship ever to have entered in our beautiful Boka Bay will sail into the port of Kotor. That will be the cruiser “MSC Divina” owned by MSC Cruises, one of the most luxury ship lines in the worlds. 

A path for walking in snow shoes was promoted today in the ski resort Vučje within the campaign “Use the Chance of Nature”.  

The campaign was realized by the Ministry of Sustainable Development and Tourism, Tourist Organization of Nikšić and German International Cooperation GIZ.

Mountaineering and Skiing Club “Hajla” from Rožaje and its President Fevzija Kurtagić organized a visit of turno skiers from Austria and representatives of their most famous clubs.    

Total share of travel and tourism industry in Montenegro GDP will amount to 14.1 per cent, according to the new estimations of the World Travel & Tourism Council, which brings Montenegro to the first place on the list with 184 countries.

It is expected that the share of tourism and connected activities in GDP will grow in the following 10-year period.
