Tourist offer of Montenegro presented at the most important tourist fair of Russia – “MITT 2012”

Today on the first day of the fair director Radović had a series of meetings with the largest tour operators from this market working with Montenegro as well as specialized agencies that are interested in specific types of offers, and among other things spoke about current interests, airline connections, bookings and turnover of tourists from the Russian market in this year and the like.

Tour operators “R-Tours Company”, “Talas-M”, “Brezna Tours”, strategic partners “Montenegro Airlines”, HG “Budvanska Rivijera”, local tourist organization of Budva, Bar and Herceg Novi and companies “Montenegro Stars Hotels Group”, HIT Montenegro-hotel “Maestral”, the company “Beppler & Jacobson”, hotel “Queen of Montenegro”, hotel “Princess” from  Bar and “Monte Casa” from Petrovac and tourist agency “Neva Travel Montenegro” and others presented their offer at the stand of the NTO of Montenegro.

According to the official statistics in 2011Montenegrowas visited by 244,924 Russian tourists, which is by 63% more than in 2010, which had 1,791,616 overnight stays, which is by 47% more overnight stays than in 2010.

According to the announcements of the Russian tour operators current booking from the Russian market is by 10% higher than in the same period last year and this trend is expected to continue. During the summer tourism season, as announced by tour operators, over 40 flights a week are planned to operate from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Samara, Yekaterinburg, Nizni - Novogorod and flights from/to two new destinations have been established : from Tyumen and Perm to Podgorica and Tivat. Montenegro Airlines announces that apart from the regular flights it will organize charter flights in cooperation with tour operators and have over 20 rotations per week in summer months.

First organized arrivals of Russian tourists are already expected at Easter. Charter flights will be operating from late April to early November almost every day and will be organized by tour operators “R Tours”, “TUI Rusia&CIS”, “Talas-M”, “Pax” etc. 

This event brought together over 3,000 participants from over 180 destinations in the world. About 80,000 visitors are expected of which over 80% of travel agents fromRussiaand countries from the territory of the formerSoviet Union.
