Income from tourism in the first 9 months amounts to 680 million euros, which is 4.3% more in relation to the same period last year.

As for the structure of overnight stays, tourists from the EU countries, former Soviet Union countries and Serbia were most numerous. Compared to 2011, a larger number of tourists from the following countries was registered: Austria, Belorussia, Bulgaria, Check Republic, Denmark, Estonia, France, Greece, Holland, Croatia, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Russia, Serbia, Switzerland, Sweden, Spain, Ukraine, Australia, Canada, Israel and Japan.

According to the estimates of the Government of Montenegro in 2012 2% more overnight stays will be made and income from tourism will increase by about 3% in relation to 2011. According to the available data we believe that this year’s post-season is better compared to the previous years and by the end of the year we will have a larger number of tourists.

In November Montenegro will be the host of the Congress of the German Tourism Association (DRV) which gathers several thousands of the largest German companies. We will be visited by about 1,000 representatives of tour-operators and agencies from this market, airline companies, insurance companies and a significant number of the media from Germany.
