Cruisers of the third generation will be berthed in the Port of Kotor
MSC cruisers of the third generation, MSC Divina and MSC Fantasia, over 330 meters long, will be moored in the operational part of the Port of Kotor as of the next year. JSC Luka Kotor announces that this company has extended its Cooperation Agreement with Mediterranean Shipping Company MSC.
“Special attention is paid to the creation of technical preconditions for ship berthing to the operational part of the Port of Kotor. We had a telephone conference with MSC management in Geneva and we made the agreement with them about the issues needed for the extension of the Cooperation Agreement between MSC and Port of Kotor,” it was announced from the Port of Kotor.
It is also stated that representative of the MSC Company, Captain Luigi Pastena, met the management of the Port of Kotor on Thursday 7th January and they spoke about modalities of the extension of the Agreement of Business Cooperation from 2009.
“Special attention is paid to the creation of technical preconditions for mooring ships of the third generation Divina and Fantasia to the operational part of the Port of Kotor,” it is stated in the announcement.
Parties involved are ready to support the Development Projects of the Port of Kotor through their contribution to optimization of technical and technological solutions and through the selection of co-financing models.
“All parties have undertaken their duties and are committed to finding best solutions in order to create conditions for signing a long term Cooperation Agreement in April,” it is stated in the announcement.
Mayor of Kotor Marija Ćatović organized a reception for the Captain Pastena and representatives of the Port of Kotor and she reminded all the present about the national importance of the Port of Kotor and supported continuation of cooperation in the interest of Kotor and Montenegro.
