Transport is organized from Kolašin (15 minutes) to Biogradsko Lake (1,100m above sea level). This is the largest lake on the mount Bjelasica and is situated in the heart of the National Park.
Biogradska gora is one of the oldest protected areas in the world which covers a central massif of the mount Bjelasica between the rivers Tara and Lim with surface of 5,650 ha of which 1,600 ha belong to the virgin forest which is one of the two remaining virgin forests in Europe with numerous endemic plant species. This lake is a glacial lake and is known as the most beautiful lake in the Balkans. It is situated at 1,094 metres above sea level. It is 1,100m long and its average depth is 4.5m.
The tour in snowshoes starts from the lake to the place called Bendovac where you can have a beautiful view of Biogradsko Lake, Bjelasica, Sinjajevina, Durmitor and canyon of the river Tara. This is where we make a small photo break. Then we go down to the lake. After that we take jeeps to go back to Kolašin.
On this tour lunch snacks are provided.
