Within the Museum of Natural History, there are 12 collections systematized according to the species of living organisms: a collection of nonvertebrae, angiosperms and ferns, moss, mammals, fish, reptiles, birds, mushrooms, algae, amphibians, as well as an entomological and palaeozoological collection.
At the same time, the museum is an institution specialized in research, collection, protection and presentation of museal items with a natural character. There is no permament exhibition. It is located in the building of the primary school in the Old town of Podgorica, built in 1920. The building has been adapted for the purposes of a museum in 1985-86. The building is listed in the 3rd category of monument protection.
Opening hours: 9-17h except Saturdays and Sundays.
There are no adequate conditions for larger organized groups of visitors.
